Michelangelo s Dream is one of the finest Italian Renaissance drawings and amongst The Courtauld Gallery s greatest treasures. The exhibition reunites this masterpiece with Michelangelo s other presentation drawings which he made for close friends. Executed at the height of the artist s career they have transformed the medium of drawing into an independent art form. In addition, exhibited alongside these magnificent works is a group of autograph letters and love poems addressed by Michelangelo to his muse Cavalieri, many of which are on public display for the first time. This is a unique opportunity to see the Dream in context with these rare documents. Drawing on major collections, including the Vatican Library, the Royal Collection and the Casa Buonarroti in Florence, this unprecedented display offers a new understanding of Michelangelo s artistic vision and gives unique insight into his extraordinary powers of invention.

Be the one of the first to see this wonderful exhibit!
